This is a little story from one of our adult students, Tracy. We thought you'd enjoy reading :) Scene 1... I was awakened suddenly at 4 am this morning by the sound of a stream of water. I thought my new puppy was having an accident, so I sprang from bed and turned on the light. I ran around the bed to see my puppy sleepily squinting up from me, secure in his bed, wondering what the heck I was doing waking him up at that ridiculous hour. In the meantime, my fiance, Dave, had also jumped out of bed stammering, "What?, What is it? Are you ok?". I looked around and explained that I thought I'd heard water running. Then, we both heard it. Then, we both saw it. A steady stream of water was trickling out of our ceiling fan and on to the bed. A pipe had burst in our attic and water was draining out through the ceiling fan. Scene 2... Dave is in a ridiculous yoga pose balanced on the rafters in the far reaches of the attic trying to fix the plumbing burst. I'm standing at the very top of a six foot ladder with my head and shoulders in the attic watching him. I'm leaning slightly into the attic tryinig to see. Suddenly, the ladder falls out from under me, landing against the washer and dryer. I immediately began to fall out of the attic opening, sharply banging my arm on the nearest rafter. But, I do not fall! Instead, I catch myself and hang from my strange perch, by my elbows, legs dangling below me. By looknig cautiously below me, I'm able to identify the location of the ladder, lower myself slighlty from the attic opening, grab the ladder with my feett, upright it, and step on. All with my heart racing. The only record of the entire episode is my intiial yelp upon banging my arm, and the bang of the ladder on the washer. Dave, intent on the problem at hand, mumbles, "You ok?" I incredulously answer, "Yep, just bumped my elbow." Happy Ending... Dave successfully compelted the pipe repair, while I managed to make it through the morning without breaking my leg and stranding Dave in the attic. Moral of the Story... Circus class makes a girl strong enough to stand (or at least not fall) on her own two feet! Tracy - Adult Aerial Thank you Tracy for sharing your story!
