Midsummer Night's Dream!

The AIRealistic Team was in the air and on the ground once again.   We have descended upon the brand new Theatre for a New Audience in Brooklyn’s Cultural Arts District to add a bit of lightness to the Royal Fairy Family and their sidekick Puck as well as fly a good portion of the set for Julie Taymor’s telling of “A Midsummer Nights Dream”.   We are honored that Mrs. Taymor has trusted us to re-ignite her faith in theatrical flight.   So much hard work went into this production by our entire aerial theatre crew.
The entire theatre rigged like a puppets house.  Merlin Larsen was peaking in to getting his hands on the mechanics of the situation as well.  Gregg Curtis is working hard to oversee the creative aerial elements, including work with Bill Mulholland and 
Gwyneth Larsen on preliminary flight training.  
This play lends itself extremely well to tactical Human Flying and intricate prop moves.  
The actions are all very precise because the theatre is quite small.
Julie Taymor and the Theatre for the New Audiences artistic director, Jeffrey Horowitz’s  vision for Shakespeare’s ‘play within a play’ is extraordinary and intense. We congratulate the company (Theatre For A New Audience) for seeing this 30 year old dream, of having their own home, to fruition.   The building is ultra-modern and adds a fantastic sense of style to the downtown Brooklyn area.  
We are so very proud to be a part of this historic event. Gregg Curtis had an opportunity to see the first read through of the play and the cast colored the white room as green as an ancient forest.
